Thank You Marsha Vdovin

At the end of December, Marsha Vdovin, who has been working with Tape Op for 14 years, is moving on and leaving the Tape Op team. We’re sad to see her go, but we’re happy that she’s chosen to pursue her art full-time. Marsha has been really great to work with, and I always enjoyed the conversations we had about music and the world in general. Marsha has been a long-time resident of the Mission District in San Francisco, and has seen the music and art scene evolve in the city for several decades now.

Marsha ran a successful PR agency in the audio industry for many years. When Larry and I first met her, she was working with Universal Audio in the very early years of that company, doing PR, and then several years later joined Tape Op to help us with advertising sales. She’s always done a bit more; for instance, in issue #74 she interviewed Leslie Ann Jones.

A skilled photographer, Marsha also took the photo for the cover of that issue:

In the last few years, Marsha started painting and that’s become her main focus now. I’m biased, but I really like her work. Last year at Christmas she sent me a small painting of the Golden Gate Bridge on a cloudy day, and it’s been up in my kitchen ever since – I always smile when I see it.

You can see more of her art below, and reach out to her at: http://www.marshavdovin.com or @MarshaMod on Instagram.

We sincerely thank Marsha for all her help with Tape Op!
